Awards, Reviews and other Notes

88 pts Wine Spectator 5/15/06 Spicy and ripe, with red plum and currant fruit followed by a racy graphite edge on the finish. Drink now. 940 cases made.
89 pts Stephen Tanzer's International wine Cellar Nov/Dec 2005
($50; a Bordeaux blend of 35% cabernet sauvignon, 35% merlot, 20% malbec and 10% cabernet franc) Deep ruby-red. High-pitched, slightly medicinal aromas of blackberry, mint and pepper, with suggestions of woodsmoke and tobacco. Supple, ripe and sweet, with rather suave flavors of plum, currant, licorice and tobacco, accented by cinnamon and clove. Began a tad green but opened nicely with aeration, showing good length and a mineral character.
