Ripe, with lots of blackberry, plum, briar, sweet spice and vanilla notes, all nicely layered through the lengthy finish. Nice minerally tang. Drink now through 2008. 91 pts Wine Enthusiast 11/15/07 ,br>
Tasted blind, this is the third straight vintage Grial has pulled a 91. That tells you that winemaker Alvaro Espinoza is as consistent as they come and that Carmenère is capable of excellence. This wine offers lovely aromas and racy berry and plum flavors. And along the way there’s enrichening pulp, oak and tannins. Drink now into 2009.
