Tasting
Notes |
|
Winemaker's Tasting Notes: Fresh, dark and plummy, this Shiraz has an intense nose of stewed plum and blackberry with some earthy undergrowthy notes adding interest. The palate is ripe flavoured, generous and clean finishing with hints of spice and chocolate. The tannins are fine and the oak is well handled. |

Reviews and other Notes |
89pts, Robert Parker, Jr., The Wine Advocate #143 (Oct 2002) Drink 2002-2012;
The 2000 Shiraz possesses an opaque purple color as well as a straightforward, sweet nose of blackberries, cassis, smoke, and earth. Although not complex, it is a dense, chewy, flavorful, mouthfilling Shiraz to enjoy over the next 8-10 years. With a bit more complexity, this intensely-flavored red would have merited an outstanding score. |
