Sourced from the higher slopes overlooking the Franschhoek Valley, Chamonix’s 2007 Chardonnay deftly balances cool climate fruit with perfect oak integration. Bright and lively with a hint of spice from the oak this has lovely precision with some nice textural roundness to the palate. The end result is a wine with engaging citrus fruit with a slightly creamy edge to the finish. Just now starting to open up this should drink nicely over the next couple of years.
