dona Paula 'Naked Pulp' Viognier 2008 really very well made
Reviews and other Notes
90 pts Wine Advocate Issue #192 Dec 2012
Dona Paula’s 2008 Viognier Naked Pulp was aged for 6-8 months sur lie with batonnage in new French oak but did not go through malolactic fermentation. It is light gold-colored with a pleasing perfume of minerals, baking spices, apricot, and peach. This leads to a medium-bodied wine with a smooth texture and round palate feel. It displays plenty of ripe pit fruits, lively acidity, good volume, and excellent balance with the oak well-integrated. Drink this stylish Viognier over the next 3-4 years. 91 pts Argovino September 2013 ,br>
A truly marvelous sensory experience, starting with the wondrous green-gold color the wine has picked up as it aged. The bouquet is dominated by oak, but the flavors run the gamut from grilled pineapple to lime and wildflower honey. Drink this splendid wine now!
