An impressive Pinotage, one of the finer versions we have tried from this esteemed producer.
Groot Constantia is the grand old estate that is known and loved by many. Founded in 1685 it has been through many eras and is now back to producing quality wines deserving of its reputation.
We get a lot of inquiries about the Groot Constantia Pinotage. For those with patience we can finally say it is now back in stock, with the arrival of Groot Constantia Pinotage 2017 vintage having just made it into our warehouse. Always a formidable Pinotage, oak aged for 14 months, 40% new French oak, the current vintage has turned out to be another exceptional one that brings a mouthful of dark red fruit flavors that are nuanced with enticing savory notes that add extra intrigue to the package.
Although this is drinking well out the gate, the structural backbone says this has a number of years in front of it of great drinking. We are offering this impressive cool-climate Pinotage for $21.99 a bottle and $19.79 on a six bottle or more purchase. This is one of the better versions we have tried in a while so although this has not yet been rated we expect some solid reviews down the road. This is lovely stuff and will keep you coming back for another glass.
