All Saints Marsanne 2012

Tasting Notes

All Saints has the second oldest plantings of Marsanne in Australia, behind Tahbilk, having planted its vineyard in 1960. The 2012 All Saints Marsanne is a crisp and refreshing, light to medium bodied wine weighing in at 12.4 % alcohol, with good supporting acidity making it very food friendly. Classic varietal flavors of lemon, peach and honey are touched up with some minerality that is lengthened by the vein of acidity that runs through the wine. Showing well now this should hold up nicely over the next 4-5 years where it will broaden in the mid palate and add flesh while taking on take some interesting biscuity, honey notes.
