May 2017 -This displays the lifted aromatic attributes that the Vista Flores region in Mendoza is renowned for. The color is dark and concentrated, leading to a nose with a nice floral lift with notes of ripe dark red berry fruits and a touch of peppery spice with no green edges. This is Cabernet Franc with pedigree. The palate is fuller bodied with ripe red and dark red berries flavors to the fore that takes on a savory cast with a note of graphite/pencil shavings as it flows to its dry conclusion. This is juicy and pliant with beautifully integrated tannins that leave a powdery grip on the finish, while building momentum and gaining flesh and suppleness as it opens up. This shows surprising well for a wine this young but has all the pre-requisites to age nicely over the next 3-4 years.

(two-thirds French oak): Bright dark red. Lively aromas of blackberry, licorice and violet accented by a sexy peppery element. A touch herbal but quite subtle on the palate, showing a darker fruit character than the Cabernet Sauvignon. Lovely finesse of texture here–and the herbacity ultimately fades nicely into the wine’s fruit. Tightly wound in the early going but suave and persistent.
