The 2018 Ashbourne white is composed of Sauvignon Blanc (80%) and Chardonnay (20%). It opens with aromas of white peach and gooseberry on the nose with some salted almond tones that round out the aromatics. The palate is highly refreshing as the wine unveils a notable richness and combination of citrus rind, tree fruit and with melon undertones that persist through the finish.

A blend of 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Chardonnay, the 2018 Sauvignon Blanc Chardonnay opens to a Sauvignon Blanc nose with the added richness of the Chardonnay to round the edges of the greenness associated with Sauvignon Blanc. While the notes of green bell pepper are present in the glass, there is a sweet caramel-apple tone hiding just under the grapefruit tones, becoming more evident on the palate. The wine is medium-bodied and has a slight touch of sweetness on the palate, as this does have almost two grams of residual sugar. It ends with a simple finish that lingers with tones of juicy pears and grapefruit.
Fresh, vibrant, perfumed Sauvignon Blanc, filled-out and enriched with a carefully judged unwooded Chardonnay component, make this a beautifully balanced and highly versatile wine. More than two decades of family experience have gone into this unique blend.
