Made from two “spice driven” vineyards in Stellenbosch, both of them on the decomposed granite that Syrah loves so much, this is hauntingly perfumed and alluring, all blood and rosemary and black olive, with subtle wood and wonderful purity and texture. 2022-28

An attractive, less intense version of the grape in 18 (90 pts), with subtle spice & dark flavours, sweet fruit with a savoury edge; usual restrained oak support (10% new), 14% alcohol. Very approachable in youth, but should age.
