The 2017 Crocodiles Lair Chardonnay is a classic Chardonnay that delivers notes of fresh-cut apples and pineapple on the slightly nutty nose, supported by toasty oak aromas and citrus blossoms. The palate is medium to full-bodied, clean and correct with a fresh-baked citrus tart mid-palate. The long finish overdelivers for the price. I most certainly recommend it, as it is sure to please a crowd of Chardonnay lovers.

Confident 17 (93 pts) shines with fresh mandarin orange, pink grapefruit, given breadth by barrel ferment (19% new) & 70% malo, both adding delicious custard-cream notes, honey & spice. Plenty of length augurs bright future. Overberg WO.
