This sings to its own tune and it’s rather pitch perfect. An array of enticing Middle Eastern spices, pepper too, infusing dark-berried fruit at its core. There’s an intensity to the flavours, smoky and seductive. Yet the medium-bodied palate is not overwrought. Beautiful tannins are as textural as a superfine emery board.

A beautifully fresh and sapid style that has plenty of fresh-ground spice and cracked pepper, across violets, blackcurrants, blackberries and dark plums. The palate adds a little espresso to this array of dark berries and spice. The tannins are smoothly layered and carry a smooth, fleshy finish. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
