Looking like it has all the ingredients to develop well, the 2017 Semillon features cut grass and lime notes upfront, followed by a light-bodied wine that is nevertheless intensely flavorful and fresh, finishing on a long, zesty, mouth-puckering note. You can drink it now with oysters but I’m confident it will blossom into a vastly different wine in five or more years.
