Garzon ‘Single Vineyard’ Albarino 2016

Tasting Notes

September 2019
The 2016 Bodega Garzon Single Vineyard Albarino has a lovely aromatic profile, with notions of ripe pear and lemon/citrus tones with some lees richness on the nose. The palate has good fruit intensity and more weight than anything you would find out of Spain, the varietal’s homeland. Medium fuller bodied and layered, this has an engaging textural richness with good depth to the white orchard fruit and citrus flavors with some additional notes of minerality and leesiness on the lengthy finish. Drinking spot on this should show well over the next year or two.

This is very layered and intense with a fantastic texture and depth. Pear, lemon and mango. Full and flavorful. Very long and beautiful. The cement fermentation and aging on the lees gives the intensity. Fantastic debut wine. Drink now
