The 2016 Wallace Shiraz-Grenache is the same 78/22 blend that the past two vintages have been, but it seems a touch darker and richer on the nose and palate, if perhaps a little less complex and nuanced. It’s still a solid mouthful of bold Barossa fruit, leaning toward black cherries in this vintage, with a slightly creamy mouthfeel and a long, supple finish.

An attractive, ripe and red-fruited blend that delivers freshness and supple, juicy appeal. The palate is easygoing with smooth tannins, which are carrying a lot of tangy raspberry flavors.

Juicy and plush, with creamy and ripe black cherry, raspberry and pomegranate flavors that really sing against the details of cedar, spearmint and milk chocolate, in a harmonious mix. Drink now through 2028.
