A pedigree winner in both local and international wine competitions, this berry-laden Pinot Noir and Chardonnay Vintage Rosé sparkling wine will be the star of any celebration. A Vintage bubbly means that the grapes used are from just one year’s harvest. It’s not something that we do every year either—it’s reserved for particularly great years. With this bubbly, every day is a special occasion.
Hand-picked Pinot Noir growing on decomposed granite soils in the mountainous region of the Helderberg in Stellenbosch forms the backbone of this blend. The grapes were whole-bunch pressed together with a unique clonal selection of Chardonnay grown on limestone-rich soils on our Robertson estate. Only the highest quality, purest juice is used for this Cap Classique.
Ever run into a situation where you cannot decide what to wear? But then, you find that special outfit in the back of your closet that you forgot how much you loved? Yeah, that’s this wine. Vintage Rosé means it has been aged gracefully in the back of our closet cellar for the past few years and it’s about time it saw the light of day. We cannot get enough of this bubbly. Between it’s salmon pink color, vivacious aromas of strawberries and cream, and flavors of raspberry jam, it’s hard to resist. So when you pop it open, be sure to have a nice charcuterie plate on hand and maybe a few finger sandwiches. It’s a classy, yet loveable affair when this vintage Rosé comes out to play.
