The textbook varietal 2018 Carmenere was produced with fruit from a vineyard in Maipo, with good ripeness and balancing acidity and freshness that comes through as clean and harmonious. It’s very peppery and spicy, with tasty, almost salty flavors. It matured in used barrels, and the oak feels very integrated. 10,800 bottles were filled in July 2020.
Colour: intense and deep carmine.
Nose: dark chocolate, graphite, strawberries.
Palate: structured and velvety with dry plums noted.
