93 pts Tim Atkin MW 2021
The reserve red from Willie and Emma Dreyer’s extensive farm marries Shiraz with 35%
Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache and a dab of Cinsault in a dense, full-flavoured style with
plenty of texture, notes of fynbos and iron and a finish that’s fresh and appealingly stony.

4 Stars 2021 Platter’s South African Wine Guide
Swartland finesse on shiraz-based, Rhone-style vintage blend. 18 (88 pts) combines enticing perfume, ripe fruit & freshness with medium body. Offers youthful pleasure, can age few years.
2018 has a distinctive perfume on the nose backed by the aroma of caramelised plums. This Swartland blend of 65% Shiraz, 20% Cinsault, 10% Grenache, 5% Mourvèdre offers an abundance or pure red fruit on the palate: cherries, cranberries and plums with a peppery and savoury finish. It is a fresh wine with great depth of flavour and complexity, finishing long and begging another sip! Ready to be enjoyed right now, but will age well for another 5 – 6 years. For a delightful tasting experience, try it with venison carpaccio or a spicy curry. Also try pairing it with red wine lamb shank stew and oven-roasted vegetables
