The Third Generation range of wines is named after Matthew Nugan’s generation of the family. They are the third generation of the Nugan family since emigrating to Australia in 1938. The Third Generation range of wines is all about being varietally correct to the fruit. The wines all maintain a very fruit forward nose and they are very nice drinking wines without being too fussy. We grow the grapes for our Third Generation Chardonnay in the Riverina and we affectionately call this wine “sunshine in a glass”.

This wine has beautiful fruit, tropical flavours and pineapple. When we harvest the grapes for this wine we cool the parcels and we clarify the juice before fermentation. You can smell typical chardonnay aromas and then we age this in French oak predominantly it is fantastic, crisp and zesty on the palate. The key to all these wines is just a little bit of oak so you can taste the varieties. The wine is nice and balance, crisp and just beautiful.
