The 2020 Bodega Pablo Fallabrino Arneis Chardonnay is a tribute to Pablo’s family’s origin, with the inclusion of Arneis, which is a leading white Piedmont varietal.  Blending 60% Arneis and 40% Chardonnay that were co-fermented, with six months on the lees, this has a subtle aromatic profile featuring white flowers, almond skin, quinine and spice to the white tree fruits on the nose. As this opens up it becomes broader in texture showing some good viscosity to the assorted white orchard fruit flavors that takes on an almost lush, creamy texture with aeration. There’s a touch of tanginess on the finish with good underlying acidity that balances everything out. Showing well now, this should drink nicely over the next couple of years.
