Paddy Borthwick Pinot Noir 2011

Tasting Notes

July 2018 – The 2011 Paddy Borthwick Pinot Noir is now hitting its sweet spot, this is drinking perfectly with the extra bottle age, offering delicate red fruit notes on the nose of strawberry and burnt raspberry nuanced with spice, light earth and under brush along with cherry pit stoniness on nose. Medium bodied with silky tannins, this has a smooth textural feel to the core of red berry fruit flavors that have a touch of savoriness that adds interest to the long finish. With aeration this spreads out nicely gaining flesh while the fruit is still showing good vibrancy. Drinking beautifully this still has several more years of good drinking in front of it.
