The Painted Wolf The Den Chenin Blanc 2021 offers a vibrant and refreshing experience of South African Chenin Blanc. This Chenin Blanc vines are nurtured in the fertile soils of the Western Cape. This terroir, coupled with abundant sunshine and cool breezes, contributes to the development of the crisp freshness and aromatic complexity intrinsic to the Chenin Blanc varietal. The den wines are social wines to be enjoyed with friends and family, named for the den, the heart of all African wild dog communities. Jeremy the winemaker likes to use a combination of spontaneous ferments as well as cultured yeasts. He chases texture, but demands crispness with his wines. He likes a delicate mix of barrel aged Chenin along with primarily tank fermented juice.
