The sleek, polished and elegant 2016 Malbec Reserva mixes Malbec grapes from different locations within the Valle de Uco, Pampa El Cepillo, Campo Los Andes, Chacayes and Gualtallary in the Valle de Uco. The wine is floral, aromatic, nuanced and complex, very pleasant and with a soft texture and resolved tannins, ready to drink. It has the freshness of the vintage and the cooler place within Mendoza. It’s very classical and was aged in barrique for one year before it was bottled. Delicious. 50,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in November 2017. 2021-2024

Full plum and berry aromas are inviting and offer just a hint of oaky vanilla. A fresh palate is braced by high-energy acidity that renders this Malbec zesty in feel. A quick blast of red berry and currant flavors stays juicy and bright through the finish. Drink through 2023.

A brambly array of fresh red fruit with a gently leafy edge, too. The palate has a smooth-honed feel with lighter, fleshy red-plum and berry flavors, set amid dusty tannins.
Jose “Pepe” Galante is widely considered the most important winemaker in Argentina’s history. Chief winemaker at Catena Zapata from 1976 until 2010, Pepe showed the world that Argentina could make world-class wines. Founded in 2010, Puramun is Pepe’s first-ever personal project owned by his family.
Puramun means “harvest” and “search” in Mendoza’s indigenous Mapuche language. Each Puramun is a new challenge. A time for searching and finding. Nothing is the same, everything changes: the climate, the soil, the grapes, and even us. Year after year we trek a new road, in search of the perfect grapes. Our label, a labyrinth of grapevines expresses this search, and through their precious fruit, our devotion to the Valle de Uco terroir. Each Puramun bottle is the result of this passionate and endless search.
A Malbec blend from four Uco Valley sub-appelations: Gualtallerey, Cachayes, Vista Flores, and El Cepillo. Fresh, with juicy flavors of blueberries, herbs, and violets. Pepe hand-crafts just 3,000 cases.
