Very few producers make pure Jonkershoek reds, which is a shame given how special the terrior is. This is Cabernet Sauvignon based with 15% Petit Verdot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Petite Sirah, sourced from between 150 and 600 metres. Serious, dense and focused, with crunchy blackcurrant fruit, granular tannins and appealing lift and freshness. 2023-28.
