The 2018 Tamboerskloof Viognier has 11% Roussanne blended into it and opens with a softly shy nose with aromas of peaches, citrus blossom and apricots tossed with mandarin orange. Medium-bodied in the mouth, the wine could use a bit more energetic acidity to drive the expression firmly across the mid-palate. The Viognier ends with a simple yet pleasing finish.
