Medium garnet in color with a touch of purple, the 2014 Butcher’s Block, a Shiraz, Grenache, Mataro blend, has note of crushed plums, mulberries and cherries with hints of spice box, tar and fragrant earth. Full-bodied, it fills the palate with expressive red and black fruit flavors framed by velvety tannins and just enough freshness, finishing with the spices kicking-in.
