Medium-bodied with fragrant boysenberry perfume, red fruit flavours and a juicy texture. This is a fresh Rhone-style blend of Cinsaut, Syrah and Grenache. Vinification involves carbonic maceration of whole bunches prior to alcoholic fermentation, then basket pressed, followed by maturation in 3rd- and 4th-fill French oak barrels for 8 months before bottling.
5 Stars 2025 Platter’s South African Wine Guide
Delicate plum perfume, crunchy red berries, Asian spice & thatch on cinsaut blend with 23/8 grenache noir & syrah. Rebecca May is Justin van Wyk’s southern Rhône style blend, made with a well-judged assemblage of Cinsault, 23% Grenache and 8% Syrah. The oak is confined to the backdrop here, framing a palate of clove, pomegranate and red cherry, fine-grained tannins and top
notes of rose petal and Asian spices. 2024-28
