Rosé is so often treated as an afterthought, but not so with The First Lady. We’ve deliberately chosen Pinotage as our rosé cultivar to create an African rosé that is an effortless combination of freshness and texture.
Grapes are picked at low sugars and ripeness to make this delicate and juicy Rosé. Skin contact is kept to a minimum to ensure the beautiful light colour of the wine. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and the Rosé is bottled soon after the fermentation is complete to capture its freshness.
Alluring notes of peach, strawberry and green fig on the nose, leading into a bouquet of floral and strawberry notes on the palate. The finish beautifully dry and elegant. A long lingering finish that will leave you longing for another sip.
