Moderately saturated medium red. Initially slightly muted aromas of currant, herbs, pepper and mocha plus a touch of leather; opened nicely with air. Lovely fine-grained texture and lift to the red berry and leather flavors. A vinous, smooth, lightly peppery wine with a fine dusting of tannins and good length. And a good value.
